Sacramento Downtown Plaza is comprised of approximately 400,000 sf of retail and 285,000 sf of office space, encompassing six city blocks on 14 acres strategically located in the heart of downtown Sacramento. Completed in 1971 and redeveloped in 1993, this asset represents the largest and highest-profile mixed-use project in Sacramento’s CBD, effectively connecting the Sacramento Capitol Mall and Sacramento Old Town.
JMA plans to transform Downtown Plaza into an urban destination by remaking the area as a lifestyle retail and entertainment experience that can’t be found at typical suburban malls in the area. Drawing upon its deep knowledge base of the Northern California consumer market and its proven ability to create high quality, unique experiences, JMA plans to re-envision Downtown Plaza as a dynamic urban core that is responsive to the needs and wishes of the Sacramento region. JMA has committed to making immediate improvements to upgrade the quality of the experience at Downtown Plaza, focusing on cleanliness, security, and family friendly service, and will begin working with its team, current tenants and the Sacramento community to establish the long-term vision for the property.
